Small Wonders Preschool Announces September Schedule

The Williamson County Parks and Recreation Department is pleased to announce the September schedule for “Small Wonders” a preschool recreation program at the Longview Recreation Center at Spring Hill, 2909 Commonwealth Drive. Professionally planned and supervised activities will be designed to encourage cognitive skills and physical coordination in children ages 3 to 6. Children will run through obstacles, jump hoops, sing songs and create crafts. Themes and activities will vary from month to month in this ongoing program. The theme for September will be “Wonders of the Animal Kingdom.” Children will attend two days a week with a choice of several sessions and times.

The public is invited to participate in the “Small Wonders” preschool program, and parents do not have to remain on the premises during preschool class time. “This is a wonderful program for the entire community,” said Randianne Sears, Program Specialist at the Longview Recreation Center. “We have a large population of preschoolers in this area and the Williamson County Parks and Recreation Department has developed this  program  specifically  to  meet  their needs.  All of  our  classroom activities are designed to enhance coordination, balance, social skills and cognitive development in a safe, fun environment. This will be an ongoing program at the Longview Recreation Center and we will register children monthly.”
