The Franklin Special School District’s booth at the 2006 Franklin Tomorrow Chili Cookoff during PumpkinFest was themed around the school district’s 100th birthday.

Established in October 1906, this marks the district’s 100th year of educating the children of Franklin.

As an awareness campaign, the district took its School Nutrition Department’s chili to the cookoff, where it came in third place by a very narrow margin for "People’s Choice" chili.

The booth decoration won second place, with a wooden backdrop structure cut to resemble a schoolhouse and a serving table decorated like a bus.
