Peter Pan Flies Into Franklin for Four Shows

It’s time to take off for Neverland as Peter Pan, Wendy, the Lost Children and a band of merry pirates fly into Franklin December 4th – 7th for four performances. Presented by the award-winning Star Bright Players children’s theatre group, this all-youth production features 90 talented local actors, singers and dancers ranging in age from 8 to 15. “Star Bright Players began 12 years ago as a theatre workshop program offered by the Williamson County Parks and Recreation Department,” says Laurie Kamunen, Program Administrator for the system. “We now produce two shows a year, and are delighted to be presenting Peter Pan, a family favorite, as this winter’s show.”
Tinkerbell (Julie Mrozinski) has plenty of fairy dust to go around as Peter (Lucas Eytchison) and Wendy (Maggie Trabucco) along with Tiger Lily (Sandra Kennelly) and her band of Indians fight off Captain Hook (Caleb Pless) and his pirates. Performances of “Peter Pan” are scheduled for Thursday, December 4th at 7:00 p.m., Friday, December 5th at 7:00 p.m., Saturday, December 6th at 7:00 p.m., and a matinee on Sunday, December 7th at 3:00 p.m. Doors open 30 minutes prior to show time. All performances are at Freedom Middle School, 750 Highway 96 West in Franklin. Tickets are $5 per person, with children 3 and younger free if sitting with a parent. Advance tickets may be purchased at the Franklin Recreation Complex, 1120 Hillsboro Road starting Monday, November 17th.  For additional information, see www.wcparksandrec.com or call 790-5719, ext. 10.
