Holiday Food Drive at County Recreation Centers

Williamson County Parks and Recreation is pleased to sponsor a holiday food drive benefiting the food pantry of Graceworks Ministries, Inc. The public is encouraged to help those in need with a donation of food and personal care items. Desired items are: canned goods-corn, mixed vegetables, green beans, green peas, asparagus, squash, beets and tomato products; dry foods-jello mixes, cake mixes, baking soda, peanut butter and  jellies; toiletries-toothbrushes, toothpaste, Kleenex, laundry detergent, dish detergent and disposable razors.

Donations will be accepted at 6 county recreation centers from November 6th through December 19th: the Franklin Recreation Complex, 1120 Hillsboro Road; the Indoor Sports Complex at 920 Heritage Way in Brentwood; the Fairview Recreation Complex, 2714 Fairview Blvd.; the Longview Recreation Center at Spring Hill, 2909 Commonwealth Drive; the Williamson County Indoor Soccer Arena, 1878 Downs Blvd. in Franklin; and the Indoor Soccer Arena at Crockett Park, 1485 Volunteer Parkway in Brentwood.

Along with the Williamson County Parks and Recreation Department, the holiday food drive is sponsored by Kroger and John Deere Landscapes. Collected items will be distributed by Graceworks Ministries, Inc., a not-for-profit agency that provides emergency assistance, clothing and non-perishable food to Williamson County residents. For a list of items and donation locations, visit www.wcparksandrec.com or call the Franklin Recreation Complex, 790-5719, ext. 10.
