Mexican Fiesta and Tequila Tasting is a Great Event
Wine Down Main Street hosted its first ever Mexican Fiesta & Tequila Tasting on Thursday, June 19th in the showroom of Hallmark Volkswagen on Bakers Bridge Road in Cool Springs.
The evening was spicy and fun! Sol, the hottest new restaurant in Franklin prepared authentic Mexican food with a guacamole to die for! The Trio San Rafael provided a special Latin infused music. Guests enjoyed some of the finest tequilas and south of the border beer available. Not to mention, there were of course, some vintage wines. These wines were Argentinean wines and quite delicious. .
The tequila was provided by Milagro and included: Milagro Silver, Milagro Reposado, Milagro Anejo as well as Select Barrel Reserve Silver, Select Barrel Reserve Reposado and Select Barrel Anejo. The south of the border beer was provided by Nashville’s Yazoo brewery and includes the Dos Perros Ale and the Mexican style Amarillo Pale Ale. Three wines, all from Argentina, were served including a Malbec and Torrontes from Zolo Winery and a Cabernet Sauvignon from Gouguenheim Winery. In addition, guests enjoyed margaritas utilizing the Milagro tequilas.
The night was a great success and a fabulous way to kick off celebrations for the 8th Annual Wine Down Main Street set to happen November 7, 2008. Click here to see the party pics!
