Cadence Bank is the proud sponsor of the 11th Annual Franklin on the Fourth celebration, scheduled for Wednesday, July 4, in downtown Franklin.

This family-friendly event is organized by the Franklin Lions Club and the City of Franklin. Last year’s event attracted more than 15,000 people and according to Al Gregory, Cadence Branch Manager and Lions Club Board Member, this year’s event is shaping up to be bigger and better than ever.

“We will have food & craft vendors, a music stage with several local artists, and entertainment for the kids, which includes the Cadence Bank kids parade at 4 p.m.,” said Gregory. “There is something for every age group to enjoy.”

This year’s Franklin on the Fourth celebration also features the nationally acclaimed Eagles Tribute Band "Tequila Sunrise," who were recently featured in Rolling Stones Magazine.

“We are very excited about the commitment Cadence Bank has made to our community through the Franklin Lions Club,” said Trey Garrard, President of the Franklin Lions Club. To officially announce the sponsorship, Gregory presented a Cadence check to club members during a recent meeting. (see picture and caption.)

David Hicks, President of Cadence Bank in Williamson County said that due to the bank’s strong community focus, the event sponsorship was a great fit.

“Cadence Bank is dedicated to supporting the communities of Williamson County so the opportunity to partner with the City of Franklin and the Franklin Lions Club on an event that has strong, local roots in Franklin and Williamson County was a real honor.”

All proceeds from the event will benefit the club’s Eyesight Conservation Program. This program provides eye screenings for children in Williamson County Schools and the Franklin Special School District. The club also awards a scholarship each year to a student in the Williamson County School District.

Founded in 1945, Franklin’s Lions club is the oldest civic organization in the city. Events for Franklin on the Fourth will kick off at 11 a.m. on July 4 in downtown Franklin. For more information, please visit: www.franklinlionsclub.com.
