Bloom ‘n’ Garden Expo

4th Annual Bloom ‘n’ Garden Expo to be Held April 13-15 373

The Williamson County Master Gardeners Association, Inc. (WCMGA) celebrates their 4th Annual Bloom ‘n’ Garden Expo to be held April 13, 14 and 15, at the Williamson County Agricultural Expo Park. It’s the perfect opportunity to get your yard ready for spring with endless shopping, educational workshops and professional guidance. Williamson County’s only lawn and garden show is the principle fundraiser for the WCMGA and enables them to carry out their “mission of enhancing and improving the quality of life in the Williamson County community through expanded horticultural educational opportunities and volunteerism.”

This year’s theme is “The Land Under our Feet” and will be reflected throughout the event especially in the “artful array of gardens from professional installations to smaller intimate gardens they can do themselves,” says Expo Chair Norm Bright. Bright continues “The “Land Under our Feet” is a representation of the geography of Williamson County, displayed in art decoration covering past, present, and future of our county culture.  As Master Gardeners, we strive to know our horticultural history, adapt it for the present, and work to preserve it for future residents.”

Attendees can enjoy an outstanding speaker’s program, hands-on workshops, live musical entertainment, diagnostic center, children’s program, garden centers and landscape designs, and over 200 vendor booths including 28 plant vendors which is almost triple the amount last year. “The timing of Expo is such that you can prepare your beds before April 13, then attend the show, choose from the largest number of local and regional growers with the broadest plant selection in any one location in Tennessee, then take them directly to the bed,” said Bright. The Expo is open Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sunday from Noon to 5 p.m.

Tickets to the Expo can be purchased at the door. Admission is $8.00 for adults, $3.00 for children under 12. A three-day pass is available for $10.00. For more information, call 615-790-5721, e-mail at info@bloomngarden.com or visit the WCMGA web site at www.bloomngarden.com. Take advantage of the “#1 horticultural learning and shopping experience of the year,” says Bright and immediately apply new information, products or services to your home or garden. With over 200 exhibits there’s something for the whole family to enjoy.
