Flower Power
The Williamson County Parks and Recreation Department is pleased to announce a special “flower power” event on Thursday, September 18th, from 4:30pm-5:30pm as part of the Therapeutic Recreation program at the Longview Recreation Center, 2909 Commonwealth Drive in Spring Hill.
Children ages 4 to 7 are invited to bring their parents along for this one-hour session of planting flowers, decorating flowerpots and learning how plants grow. Siblings of the same age group are also welcome. Children will exercise their creativity and learn to appreciate nature. The cost is $2 per child.
Therapeutic programs are led by Therapeutic Recreation Specialists who assist people with disabilities to develop leisure and social skills for participation in community activities.
