Educating Children With Special Needs

Where do you go to educate children with special needs?  Franklin is fortunate to have High Hopes, Inc.  Since 1984, High Hopes has offered a specialized approach for educating children with and without special needs by combining speech, occupational, and physical therapy into the educational setting of the preschool classroom.  Children with special needs and without special needs are taught together in a social and educational environment.

Children with Down Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, Autism, speech & language disorders, and other developmental delays play, learn, and grow alongside their typically developing peers.  Each child benefits from an inclusive program that is responsive to individual strengths and needs.

In 2007, due to the increased demand for High Hopes’ quality therapeutic and educational programs, two major expansions have occurred.  High Hopes now boasts a large state-of-the-art pediatric therapy clinic serving outpatients ages birth through 21 years old.  In addition a new Pre-K program has been added which will prepare ALL students for kindergarten.
