Perenn Bakery Expands to Berry Hill in Nashville

Perenn Bakery Expands to Berry Hill in Nashville

Perenn Bakery Berry Hill in Nashville opened on August 1, 2025, marking the second Middle Tennessee location for husband-and-wife team Tyler and Aubrey O’Laskey, both graduates of the Culinary Institute of America.

Known for sourdough breads, viennoiserie (croissants, brioche, kouign-amann, and other enriched pastries), and specialty coffee, the brand launched the first Perenn Bakery in Tennessee in downtown Franklin in May 2025. That café quickly became a community favorite, and as of September 4, 2025, expanded to offer dinner service in addition to breads, pastries, breakfast, and lunch. Read more about the Franklin location here.

The Perenn Bakery Berry Hill café builds on that success, bringing Perenn’s breads and pastries to Nashville while also serving as the bakery’s central production facility. Located on Sidco Drive, the space is designed with an open layout so guests can see the craft in action, from flour milling to croissant shaping.

Inside Perenn Bakery Berry Hill

The Berry Hill café operates with a counter-service format, offering a focused menu for breakfast and lunch. Guests can expect options such as breakfast sandwiches, granola bowls, big salads, sandwiches, and avocado toast, alongside an assortment of breads and pastries. The drinks menu highlights both classic espresso-based beverages and unique specialty options.

Like the Franklin shop, Berry Hill features a signature custom-painted espresso machine that reflects Perenn’s branding and style, making the coffee program a focal point of the café.

The interior design blends warm and industrial elements. Inside, guests will find rustic wood floors, exposed beams, comfy seating, and community tables. A mezzanine level offers a homey atmosphere with soft lighting and cozy spaces that encourage lingering over coffee or conversation.

Beyond the Counter

The Berry Hill location also acts as Perenn’s production hub, supplying breads and pastries to its Franklin café. Guests can purchase freshly milled flour to use at home and choose from a variety of grab-and-go options such as salads, sandwiches, cookie dough, drinks, and other treats. Perenn also distributes freshly baked goods directly to local restaurants and retail stores.

What’s Next for Perenn Bakery

Looking ahead, the Berry Hill café is set to host small breadmaking classes and community events, offering an educational and hands-on connection to baking.

In addition, Perenn has confirmed plans for a third Middle Tennessee location in 2026. This new concept will bring together both a bakery and a market under one roof, further expanding the O’Laskeys’ vision for their growing brand.
