Speed Puzzling Presents National Puzzle Event at Williamson County Library in Franklin
Franklin, Tennessee, will be one of nearly 30 cities across the country participating in Super Saturday Mini Tourney #2, a national speed-puzzling event happening Saturday, August 30, 2025, at the Williamson County Public Library. This fast-paced puzzle competition invites residents of all ages to test their jigsaw skills in a fun and friendly environment.
Pick Your Puzzle at Franklin’s Super Saturday
Super Saturday events take place when a month has a fifth Saturday, offering puzzlers across the U.S. the chance to compete on the same day using identical puzzles. Each location hosts three contests: Solo, Pair, and Team, with time limits and puzzle sizes designed to fit into a single session.
The Franklin event will run from 9:30 am to 1:30 pm, with three rounds:
- Solo Contest – 300-piece puzzle, 60-minute limit
- Pair Contest – 300-piece puzzle, 45-minute limit
- Team Contest – 500-piece puzzle, 60-minute limit (3–4 people per team)
All events are timed and judged, and participants can register for individual contests or choose a bundled ticket that includes all three at a discounted rate.
Prizes and Perks for Puzzle Fans
Competing in Franklin’s Super Saturday Mini Puzzle Tournament comes with more than just bragging rights. Every registered participant will get to keep the puzzle they complete during each contest, whether or not they place in the top three.
The top three winners in each division (Solo, Pair, and Team) will receive gift certificates or prize puzzles, and first-place winners will also earn free entry to their next State Championship, offering a chance to compete at the next level.
In addition to the contests, the Franklin event will include a puzzle swap table, where participants can bring gently used puzzles and exchange them with others. Access to the swap is included with competitor registration, while non-participants can join in for a $10 fee. It’s a great way to refresh your collection and connect with fellow puzzle enthusiasts.
