On Saturday, June 15th, the Williamson County Public Library main branch in Franklin is hosting two free events:

The Williamson County Writers Group offers a free gathering for writers at the Main Library every first, third, and fifth Saturday of the month, from 10 am to 1 pm. This volunteer-led group provides a supportive environment where both new and experienced writers can present and critique works of various genres including fiction, non-fiction, essays, and poetry. New members are encouraged to join by bringing their pieces to the Learning Center on the second floor. 

From 2 pm to 3 pm, the library invites families to a special Father’s Day card-making event. Held in the Children’s Activity Room, this creative session offers an opportunity for children to craft personalized cards for their dads. The park encompasses 61 acres and offers facilities such as a 3/4 mile walking trail, picnic tables, parking, and restrooms. It features tranquil wooded areas and open spaces. Admission to the park is free, and visitors can learn about the park’s historical significance through interpretive signs detailing the Battle of Franklin and the role of Winstead Hill.
