Yoga and Ballroom Dancing for Kids
The Williamson County Parks and Recreation Department announces the addition of yoga classes for children and babies at their Franklin and Brentwood recreation facilities, plus a ballroom dancing class for kids at the Fairview Recreation Complex. Registration is required for all classes. For more information, visit wcparksandrec.com.
YogaKids is a unique approach to integrative learning using kid-friendly yoga poses. Reading, storytelling, music, creative arts and earth-care blend seamlessly with yoga movement. Children learn new skills and grow strong physically, mentally and emotionally, cultivating self-esteem for a lifetime of successful achievement. Children today are under a tremendous amount of stress from school, their environment, peer competition and expectations from the media. Stress effects children’s health, well-being and confidence. YogaKids creates a multi-sensory, non-competitive, and FUN learning experience while helping de-stress and relax.
YogaKids offers classes for infants and crawlers, ages 3 to 5 and ages 6 to 10, at the Franklin Recreation Complex and the Indoor Sports Complex. For additional information, visit www.yogakidsnashville.com.
