Theatre Auditions
Robin Hood
The Missoula Children’s Theatre based out of Missoula, Montana is coming to Franklin, TN! The tour stops in Franklin on Monday, September 15. Two Missoula actors/directors will arrive with sets, costumes, makeup, scripts and music and it is up to Franklin’s young actors to help them put on two spectacular performances of Robin Hood on Saturday.
If your children can’t commit to an 8-week rehearsal schedule, the Missoula Children’s Theatre is the perfect solution.
AUDITIONS
Auditions for Missoula’s Children’s Theatre production of Robin Hood is open to children 5-18 years old (kindergarten-12th grade).
Auditions will be held Monday, September 15 at the Franklin Recreation Complex on Hillsboro Road in Franklin. Auditions will be from 4:00pm until 6:00pm. Children must arrive before 4:00pm and plan to stay until 6:00pm. Some cast members may be asked to stay past 6:00pm for the first rehearsal.
There is no guarantee that all children that audition will be cast in the play but around 50-60 local children will be cast for Saturday’s performances. No advance preparation is necessary but children should arrive happy, relaxed and ready to fun!
REHEARSALS
The quick and busy rehearsal schedule will be everyday Tuesday, September 16 through Friday, September 19. Rehearsals will be from 4:00pm-6:00pm AND from 6:30pm-8:30pm at the Freedom Middle School Theatre on Highway 96 in Franklin.
All cast members will not be needed at every session but children that are auditioning need to have a flexible week and be able to attend any rehearsal that they are needed at. Children that are required to attend both evening rehearsal sessions are asked to bring a sack dinner for the 6:00pm-6:30pm dinner break. Cast members will receive a detailed rehearsal schedule following auditions.
PERFORMANCES
Robin Hood will be performed on Saturday, September 20 at the Freedom Middle School Theatre at 750 Highway 96 West in Franklin. Perfomances will be at 2:00pm and 7:00pm. Tickets cost $5 per person (children 3 and under are free).
Tickets may be purchased at the front desk of the Franklin Recreation Complex, 1120 Hillsboro Road, beginning Monday, September 15th and may also be purchased at the door before each performance, if available.

Tinkerbell
AUDITIONS
No experience necessary! Open auditions for Tinkerbell will be held on Sunday, September 28 at the Franklin Recreation Complex on Hillsboro Road.
Age: Unfortunately, the roles are strictly open only to children 8-15 years old.
Audition times: Children that have never been in a Star Bright Production will audition from 1:00pm-3:00pm. Returning Star Bright Production children will audition from 3:30pm-5:30pm.
What to bring: Children will need to sing a song during the audition. They are welcome to sing “Happy Birthday” or they can bring sheet music or cassette/CD to sing along with. Also, children will impress the director if they are vocal and expressive during their audition.
Call backs will be held Monday, September 29 from 5:30pm-7:30 at Freedom Middle School.
Parents are allowed in the waiting area but may not watch children audition.
REHEARSAL
Children cast in the show will be charged a $50 activity fee, which also covers costume rental.
Rehearsals will be held at Freedom Middle School Theatre located at 750 Highway 96 West in Franklin. Rehearsals will be held on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday evenings from 5:30pm-7:30pm for 8 weeks.
If cast, you may not be required to be at every rehearsal, but you must be able to meet the commitments required of this rehearsal schedule. Please bring a list of possible schedule conflicts with you to auditions.

All performances will be held at the Freedom Middle School Theatre on Highway 96 in Franklin. Tickets cost $5

Saturday, December 6th: 7:00pm
Sunday, December 7th: 3:00pm
