The Franklin Band Presents First-Ever Songwriter Showcase & Silent Auction: A Night for the Roses

The Franklin Band is proud to announce its first-ever Songwriter Showcase & Silent Auction, A Night for the Roses, taking place on Saturday, August 2, 2025, at the Franklin Special District’s Performing Arts Center. This special evening of live music and community giving will raise critical funds to support the band’s invitation to perform in the 2026 Pasadena Tournament of Roses Parade.
The showcase will feature a stellar lineup of some of Nashville’s most acclaimed songwriters—Kent Blazy, Cory Batten, and Leslie Satcher—whose credits include chart-topping hits for artists such as Garth Brooks, Willie Nelson, Blake Shelton, George Strait, Reba McEntire, Maren Morris and many more. With an intimate venue and performance style, attendees will enjoy the stories behind the songs and the talents behind the music.
Local songwriter talent will also take center stage, with some of Franklin High School’s very own students, Maddi Rae Wilson and Keller Leggett, opening the event with original performances starting at 7:00 PM. The main showcase begins at 7:30 PM, with doors opening at 6:00 PM for Silent Auction bidding and concessions.
VIP ticket holders will enjoy a privately catered Meet & Greet with the evening’s songwriters from 6:00–7:00 PM. “We’re so excited to bring the community together for a night of unforgettable music in support of an incredible opportunity for our students,” said Dr. Michael Holland, Director of Bands.
“This event not only highlights some of the best talent in Nashville, but it also helps fund a once-in-a-generation experience for members of The Franklin Band.”
All proceeds from A Night for the Roses will directly support The Franklin Band’s travel and participation in the 2026 Rose Parade, one of the most prestigious marching events in the world. As one of only seven high school bands worldwide to receive the invitation, The Franklin Band will represent all of Tennessee on the world stage on January 1, 2026.
