Stress, Self Esteem and Relationships

The Williamson County Parks and Recreation Department is pleased to announce new classes at the Fairview Recreation Complex on stress management, self-esteem and healthy relationships.

Stress Management
People experience stress everyday and if unmanaged, stress can lead to anxiety, depression and withdrawal. In this class, learn to recognize the signs of stress and techniques for stress management.  Topics include dealing with depression and anxiety and new methods for achieving relaxation. Stress management will meet on Thursday, October 2nd and 9th from 6:30pm to 8pm. The cost for this two-session course is $30. Healthy Relationships
Healthy relationships can be difficult to build and maintain. This workshop provides a basic understanding of the components of healthy relationships with  family, intimate partners and friends. Topics include communication, conflict resolution, equality wheel power, control and domestic violence. The Healthy Relationships workshop will be Saturday, October 11th, 10am-2pm at the Fairview Recreation Complex, 2714 Fairview Blvd. West. Designed for high school teens and adults. The cost is $30. Increasing Your Self Esteem
Learn how self esteem affects personal lives in this 2-session course at the Fairview Recreation Complex. Topics will include the importance of self esteem, how self esteem is related to good decision making, a self esteem survey and discussion of barriers.  The self esteem class meets Thursday, October 16th and October 23rd from 6:30pm-8:00pm.
