Regional Presidential Award
Franklin Special School District Director of Schools, Dr. David Snowden, received the 2008 Presidential Award from the Southern District of the American Alliance for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance (AAHPERD). The award was presented by AAHPERD Southern District President, Dr. Cam Kerst-Davis, at the Alliance’s annual conference, held in Fort Worth, Texas, in April.
The award was presented to the FSSD “for its years of dedication to and excellence in supporting quality daily elementary physical education,” according to the invitation sent to Dr. Snowden by Dr. Kerst-Davis. She also recognizes the district’s support of its physical education staff to serve in professional leadership roles at the state, district and national levels.
