RECAP- Ninth Annual Bootlegger’s Bash
Guests gathered on Friday, Sept. 27 to celebrate Williamson County’s rich history of bootlegging at the ninth annual Bootlegger’s Bash, hosted by co-chairs Tim and Bess Kearns, on behalf of the Battle of Franklin Trust.
It was a perfect fall evening at Carnton as more than 350 attendees sipped whiskey in the garden from a variety of local distillers and vendors, including Ole Smoky Moonshine, YeeHaw Brewing, George Dickel Tennessee Whisky, Jackson Morgan Southern Cream, King’s Family Distillery, Old Glory Distilling Co., Arrington Vineyards, Prichard’s Distillery, Lost State Distilling, Tennessee Legend Distillery, Granite City Brewery, Wheeler’s Raid Distillery, Mantra Artisan Ales, H Clark Distillery, Pennington Distilling Co., Tenn South Distillery, Leiper’s Fork Distillery, Gate 11 Distillery, Chattanooga Whiskey and Battleground South Cigar Lounge.
The Rock ‘n’ Roll Dueling Pianos stole the show after guests mingled and were served a Southern dinner catered by The Clean Plate Club. The menu included sweet tea brined chicken, farmhouse salad, roasted potatoes and vegetables. All proceeds from the event, designed by Event & Group Tour Coordinator Hannah Jacobs, will fund the Trust, supporting the daily preservation and education efforts of Carnton and Carter House.
