Prophetik Fashion Show

The Fashion: Impulsion Collection
Impulsion is the pushing power (thrust) of a horse, which comes from his desire to move powerfully forward with energy. However, speed does not create impulsion, and a rushing horse is more likely to be “flat” than impulsive. The energy is transmitted through a back that is free from negative tension and is manifested in the horse’s elastic, whole-body movement.
The line focuses on slow fashion moving forward but with wisdom and substance. Prophetik’s charity focus is on land conservation both in our home state of TN and in Thailand where we are working with the Asian Elephant Conservatory Project in raising funds to buy land for the elephants that are begging on the streets. Our partners at elephant art train the elephants to paint on our organic silk fabric with their trunks, which we use for our “Elle” dress and men’s skinny suit.

Prophetik is a lifestyle brand providing fashion forward certified organic cotton manufacturing in TN practicing social responsibility being a leader in the field of sustainability in fashion…utilizing fabrics such as hemp, recycled P.E.T, soy, tencel, etc With a trademarked “Wearable Philosophy” tagline….Prophetik defines inspirational sustainable euro street wear that serves a purpose and is a visual manifestation of art, love, poetry, and the freedom found from within.

The Sustainable Journey: A meaningful analysis and evaluation of any product’s relationship to the environment must include a broad array of criteria including low-impact production, low-impact maintenance, and its classification as recyclable, reusable or incineratable. Primary considerations are low impact on plant and animal life, conservation of limited resources, and waste minimization….Jeff Garner

The Music: My Glorious Partners
When powerful beats meet genuine lyrics then you’re most probably listening to My
Glorious. The trio from Vienna have committed themselves to not only groovin’ but also offer expressive, strong and meaningful lyrics that go deep.

The rawness of their style underlines the honesty in their songs and does by no means keep them from producing intriguing melodies. My Glorious is a Garage Rock Trio currently based in Vienna consisting of singer/guitarist Samuel Fischer from the UK and the twins Gregor Sailer on bass and Paul Sailer on drums from Austria. The band formed out of the remains of Austrian rock band “Fresh” in January 2008 and has managed to become one of Europe’s hottest newcomer acts in no time.

My Glorious have played in Austria, Germany, Bosnia, the UK and have toured the US. In October 2008 they released their debut EP “Leper” in the US and a couple of weeks later in Europe. My Glorious will be performing at Prophetik’s charity fashion shows on March 19th, 20th and 21st. Bridging the gap between sustainable fashion and sustainable music, My Glorious is the sound behind the powerful forward energy of the Impulsion collection.
