Piano & Aromatherapy Classes through Parks & Rec

The Williamson County Parks and Recreation Department announces the return of “Piano Lessons” at the Indoor Sports Complex in Brentwood and “Aromatherapy” at the Franklin Recreation Complex. 
 
First, adults and teens can learn to play piano for fun at the Indoor Sports Complex in Brentwood.  Local community band leader and composer, Ken Krause will teach this 9-week session on Tuesdays, September 2nd through October 28th at a cost of $58.00 with a $15.00 supply fee (due the first day of class for the method book). Beginner’s classes will be offered from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. and advanced “Piano Club” classes from 7:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Not only will students learn how to read music, they’ll also be taught how to play by ear! Participants must bring a keyboard to class and may sign up at any time during the 9-week session (classes will be pro-rated and are not progressive). Next, aromatherapy is so much more than a pretty or relaxing scent! Come find out why aromatherapy is becoming one of America’s most popular household remedies. Instructor, Judith Fitzsimmons educates adult and teen participants Monday, September 15th from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Cost is $18.00 per person. Class members will create three blends: a germ free spray, an extra dry skin lotion and a house cleaning blend. Registration required by calling 790-5719, ext. 10.
