Nelson’s Green Brier Distillery Releases Innovative Nelson Brothers Rum Cask Finish

Product Available Exclusively at the Nashville Distillery Friday, July 12

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Nelson’s Green Brier Distillery will launch the inaugural Nelson Brothers Rum Cask Finish at the Marathon Village distillery on Friday, July 12. The exclusive and limited-quantity bottle joins the extensive line of Cask Finishes by the distillery home to Nelson Brothers Classic Bourbon, Nelson Brothers Reserve Bourbon, Nelson Brothers Rye and Nelson’s Green Brier Tennessee Whiskey.

The Nelson Brothers Rum Cask Finish is made by finishing a blend of Nelson Brothers Classic in casks previously used for Barbados Rum. The bourbon was aged in the rum casks for up to 27 months to create a complex flavor profile of Demerara sugar, saltwater taffy, tart cherry, spiced walnuts and vanilla. Bottled at 101.4 proof, this latest Cask Finish joins the series featuring Maple Cask, Honey Cask, Cognac Cask and more.

“This bottle is truly unlike anything we’ve done before at the distillery,” said Ed Kolb, head distiller at Nelson’s Green Brier Distillery. “Our team is dedicated to pushing the boundaries of innovation and process to create exceptional whiskey. The Nelson Brothers Rum Cask Finish is a testament to that commitment and is sure to interest the bourbon aficionado and casual fan alike.”
