Groundbreaking Set for East McEwen Road Project Phase Four

The City of Franklin will hold a groundbreaking ceremony for Phase Four of the East McEwen Drive Improvements on Friday, April 25th, at 10:30 a.m. City officials, including the Board of Mayor and Aldermen and the Engineering Department, will gather at the end of Garden Club Court to mark the start of the major infrastructure project.
Phase Four will widen East McEwen Drive from the roundabout at Cool Springs Boulevard/Oxford Glen Drive to Wilson Pike (SR-252). The completed project will feature a median-divided, four-lane road with designated left-turn lanes, curb and gutter, sidewalk, a multi-use path, and street lighting.
The project is expected to take approximately three years to complete. With a total cost of $45.8 million, more than $30 million has been secured through federal grant funding. Once completed, the improvements will enhance traffic flow and connectivity in the growing Cool Springs area.
