The Franklin Theatre Songwriters Series: Jason Nix, Natalie Hemby, & Nathan Chapman

Jason Nix
Born in Music City and raised in south Mississippi, Nix moved back to Tennessee at the age of 18, rolled up his sleeves, and got to work.
Eventually sharing the stage with artists such as Vince Gill, Sugarland, Keb Mo, Ricky Skaggs, and Dave Stewart of the Eurythmics, his 17 years in Nashville have been spent learning. From lower Broadway to 15,000 seat arenas, he has also been seen behind artists like Canaan Smith and Chase Rice, playing guitar for both frontmen as their careers exploded. He wrote songs too, earning a publishing deal and landing cuts with Eli Young Band, Lainey Wilson, Vince Gill, Keb Mo, Darius Rucker, Natalie Hemby, Ariel Posen, Ashley Cooke, Jackson Dean, and Flatland Cavalry. Nix earned his first songwriter #1 as well as the 2021 ACM song of the year with Lainey Wilson’s, “Things A Man Oughta Know”.
Natalie Hemby
2 x Grammy Award-winner Natalie Hemby is revered as one of the music industry’s most notable songwriters creating hit after hit behind the scenes. Since signing her first publishing deal at 19, Nashville’s Natalie Hemby has become one of most successful and sought after songwriters in music, with countless hit songs recorded by artists such as Kacey Musgraves, Maren Morris, Sheryl Crow, Miranda Lambert, Lady Gaga, Yola, Dierks Bentley, Rag’n’Bone Man, Lady A, Kelly Clarkson, Little Big Town and Labrinth, to name a few.
She is also a member of the supergroup Highwoman composed of Marren Morris, Brandi Carlile and Amanda Shires.
Nathan Chapman
Three-time Grammy award winning producer and songwriter Nathan Chapman. Nashville Native. He is known primarily for working with singer songwriter Taylor Swift. He has written with John Mayer, Hillary Lindsey, Charles Kelley, Kylie Minogue, Sara Evans, Dave Haywood, Hillary Scott, Avicii, Michael Buble, Diplo, David Cook, Shay Mooney.
