Danny Evans is widely recognized as a premier guitarist, an unparalleled singer/songwriter and producer. As the son of Rusty Evans, whose own Johnny Cash tribute “Ring Of Fire” that reigned supreme on the national circuit for over 20 years Danny played lead guitar and served as musical director in the family band, as well as bearing his own musical soul with his band Chrome Johnson.

Danny is widely recognized throughout the music industry as a “musical chameleon” and well regarded as being accomplished in almost any style, Danny’s storied career has seen him sharing high profile stages from Glastonbury to Bumbershoot. With live performances with many legends and such as Link Wray, Dick Dale, Taj Mahal, Chris Robinson, Bill Kirtchen, Leo Nocentelli, Roy Rogers, Count Basie Orchestra, Ramblin’ Jack Elliott, Crystal Gayle, Porter Wagoner etc. under his belt, his production and recording credits are just as bountiful. Well known as a “go to” guitarist and multi-instrumentalist, Danny’s musical talents are well regarded and in demand, as are his renowned skills as a vocal stylist and soulful songwriter.

Essence recently received national and international acclaim for her work with Bernie and the Believers through NPR’s Tiny Desk Concert series and BBC. “The story of Bernie and the Believers is the most powerful I’ve ever come across at the Tiny Desk.” – Bob Boilen, (host and creator of NPR’s online music show All Songs Considered and NPR’s Tiny Desk Concerts series.) The story and music of her band Bernie and the Believers is currently being developed into a major Hollywood feature film. Essence has released six albums of her original music on both indie and major labels and had numerous film and television placements. Her forthcoming album “Father’s Daughter” is an honest and at times humorous account of her losses and wins; to the bone and from the heart. The album is fully steeped in the rich traditions of Appalachian, Americana and Country music that Essence grew up on. with a nod to the spirit and sound of songwriting legends like John Prine, and Lucinda Williams, Dolly Parton and Gillian Welch. It is a collection of songs that could not have been written without real life living. It is at once deeply personal and immediately relatable; emotionally vulnerable and lyricaly brave. Essence is also the founder and executive director of a powerful non profit called ‘Believe Music Heals’ which is dedicated to transforming lives through the healing power of music. This electrifying duo formed their undeniable bond while Essence was recording her soon-to-be released new record at Danny’s Allegiant Records recording studio.
