The Honor the Fallen 5K is a fun community event that brings together local families of fallen service members, veterans, and the wider community. It is dog—and stroller-friendly and welcomes walkers and runners of all ages and fitness levels. The event is also a fundraising initiative for the local nonprofit, Memories of Honor.

ABOUT MEMORIES OF HONOR
We create living memorials to honor those lost during or due to service so their memory will live on for generations. We strive to provide meaningful experiences for the bereaved and an opportunity for the community to pay their respects and learn from these stories of courage, service, and sacrifice.

Unlike other organizations that provide tangible support like housing or scholarships to families of fallen service members, Memories of Honor offers something equally vital but intangible. We ensure that the service, sacrifice, and life of their loved ones are never forgotten. We create opportunities for the public to learn about these heroes, engage with their families, and make new memories, even in their absence. Our goal is to provide surviving families with a sense of belonging, connection, and meaningful ways to honor and remember their loved ones, while gently reminding Americans that freedom isn’t free.
