An Evening with C. Thomas Howell featuring ‘The Outsiders’ Screening

The Franklin Theatre is thrilled to welcome C. Thomas Howell to host a special screening of “The Outsiders” on August 22!
The son of a professional bull rider turned stuntman; C. Thomas Howell started working in the film industry at the young age of seven. In 1981, he was cast as ‘Tyler’ in Steven Spielberg’s blockbuster film E.T. The Extra Terrestrial. Shortly thereafter, he nabbed the lead in Francis Ford Coppola’s classic, The Outsiders, starring opposite Ralph Macchio, Diane Lane, Patrick Swayze, Tom Cruise, Rob Lowe, and Matt Dillon. The coming-of-age film went on to become a cult classic. Howell’s gripping performance as the tough, yet vulnerable ‘Ponyboy Curtis’ made him a household name virtually overnight, earning him a Young Artist Award.
