Fire engines! Dump trucks! Ice cream trucks! Trolleys! Now the kids can look and touch these amazing service vehicles at a new Williamson County Parks and Recreation family event called “Touch A Truck” on Saturday, October 6th from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Held in the large parking lot of the nearby Thompson’s Station Church, this free event gives kids of all ages the opportunity to explore numerous service vehicles while being entertained by the area’s best musicians, magicians, ventriloquists and more. Kids and their families can also participate in truck-themed crafts to take home while enjoying an array of festival foods and drinks on site (cost incurred for concessions). The event will conclude with a treasury of raffle prizes such as motorized kid’s vehicles and Tonka Trucks! Don’t miss this fabulous event!
For more information, contact Trisha Bilbrey at the Franklin Recreation Complex; 790-5719, ext. 44. The Thompson’s Station Church is located at the intersection of Thompson’s Station Road and Columbia Pike (just outside Spring Hill).
