Church Street Farmers Market: Franklin’s New Weekly Market for Fresh, Local, and Handmade Goods

Franklin’s newest farmers market, the Church Street Farmers Market, opened May 24th and takes place every Saturday from 9 am to 12 pm at 406 Church Street, on the corner of 4th Avenue and Church Street in downtown Franklin. Running through November, this market brings together local growers, makers, and artisans, offering visitors a chance to shop for fresh produce, meats, dairy, handmade goods, and more while enjoying the weekend in the heart of the city.

Shoppers will find farm-fresh produce, meats, dairy, artisan foods, and handmade goods sourced from Middle Tennessee vendors. The market highlights the value of supporting small businesses and sustainable farming practices while giving the community a place to gather.

The Church Street Farmers Market is designed to be accessible and welcoming. It takes place in a flat, paved parking lot that accommodates wheelchairs and walkers, with additional parking available nearby at Generations Academy, the Fourth Avenue garage, and street-side spaces. Well-behaved, leashed dogs are also welcome!

Vendors are an essential part of the market’s mission. While spaces for food trucks, baked goods, soap, skincare, and coffee are currently full with potential vendors being placed on a waitlist, applications remain open for agricultural vendors, including those offering produce, meats, dairy, and eggs.

The market operates rain or shine, with updates shared on Instagram and Facebook in the event of severe weather. Whether you’re picking up groceries for the week, browsing handmade items, or simply enjoying the atmosphere, the Church Street Farmers Market offers a taste of Franklin.
