Anyone may register for and participate in the department’s programs, teams, classes and events. Pre-registration is required for all classes.
STICKY FINGERS PRESCHOOL CLUB
Sticky Fingers is a preschool club with an art emphasis. Designed for children ages 3 to 6 years, Sticky Fingers provides a creative supplement to preschool through a variety of crafting experiences. The Sticky Fingers March sessions are: Mondays only, March 3-31 (skip 3/17), ($24); Wednesdays only, March 5-26 (skip 3/19), ($18). Classes meet from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the Franklin Recreation Complex, 1120 Hillsboro Road. To pre-register, call (615) 790-5719, ext. 2010.
SEWING FOR KIDS-EXPERIENCED BEGINNERS
Kids ages 10 and older who know machine basics will learn new techniques like piecing, inserting zippers and sewing buttonholes. Learn to use a pattern and complete a project. Sewing meets Saturdays, March 8-29 from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Franklin Recreation Complex, 1120 Hillsboro Rd. The course is $40, and a supply list will be provided at registration. Students can bring their own sewing machine or reserve one (limited number available). To register, call (615) 790-5719, ext. 2010.

CREATE A CLASS
Love art, put just can’t make it to a class? Gather at least six of our friends and pick a project. Whether it is Zentangle, painting or basket weaving, we can make it happen! Your private art party will be held at the Franklin Recreation Complex, 1120 Hillsboro Rd. For more information, contact Arts and Crafts Coordinator Cindy Moore at (615)-790-5719, ext. 2020 to schedule your class. Dates, times, ages, class fee and supply fee vary based on class.
ARTS & CRAFTS PARTY
Arts and crafts parties are an affordable, fresh way to celebrate your child’s birthday! The Williamson County Parks and Recreation Department is offering customized birthday parties for kids ages 3 to 12 at the Franklin Recreation Complex, 1120 Hillsboro Rd. Parents help plan the big day by choosing a theme with the instructor, Deborah Nelson. Parties are one-hour for ages 3 to 5 and one and one-half hours for ages 6 to 12. The fee is $8 per child, plus a $20 supply fee for every ten children. All craft supplies are included; food and drink are provided by parent. Parties are available any day.
