A Vintage Affair raises the bar

On Friday, April 20, A Vintage Affair held its seventh annual event attended by approximately 1000 guests in Jamison Hall in the Factory at Franklin. Hosting pre-social events throughout the week leading up to the big event, A Vintage Affair raised more than $150,000 to benefit the following organizations: the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Williamson Medical Center, The Hundred Club of Franklin, Inc. and the Williamson County Library Foundation.

In the past seven years, A Vintage Affair provided funding to Mercy Children’s Clinic, BRIDGES, The Hundred Club of Franklin, Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Williamson Medical Center, the Williamson County Child Advocacy Center and the Williamson County Library Foundation. 

Proceeding the exciting evening was an exclusive Sommelier Party. Under a white tent, right outside Jamison Hall guests enjoyed CAO cigars, exceptional champagne and wine tasting and hors d’oeuvres from Sandy’s Downtown Grille. 

Then at 7 p.m., guests entered Jamison Hall for the main event! Decorated with beautiful booths of wine and a superb silent auction guests mingled and walked around sipping on wine and enjoying fine cuisine. As the evening continued, guests enjoyed bidding on live silent auction items.   

Best described by its mission statement: AVA seeks "To provide a significant financial contribution to a nonprofit organization whose services benefit the community at large, without prejudice as to race, color, creed, national origin, or religious affiliation."

Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday night were also filled with fun leading up to A Vintage Affair. On Wednesday night was Champagne and Vintage Country Music.  Approximately 150 guests enjoyed champagne by MoÑ‘t Hennessey, country tunes from the Homer Dever Band and Sperry’s Restaurant’s fine food at Green’s Grocery in Historic Leiper’s Fork. 

Then on Thursday evening approximately 300 guests got dressed up in optional black tie for the sold out, Meet the Vintner. At Sandy’s Downtown Grille, guests learned about the wines, met the vintners: Todd Anderson and Vanessa Robledo, enjoyed Sandy’s Downtown Grille cuisine. 

A Vintage Affair is more than a fundraiser. It was an evening filled with delicious food, excellent wine, wonderful auction items and Williamson County and Davidson County residents coming together for a great cause.  t is something that you do not want to miss next year!
