One of the most inspirational and influential figures in American music history, Ray Charles overcame significant adversity–both musically and personally–to create an innovative signature sound that would definitively alter the trajectory of popular music for all time. Studio Tenn pays homage to Charles’ legendary and abiding influence with the third installment of the company’s original Legacy Series, “The Ray Legacy: A Tribute to The Soulful Genius. ” This all-new production will feature dynamic selections from Ray Charles’ soulful catalog, performed by a diverse ensemble cast with no dialogue or narration, so that the music itself–and the rich storytelling therein–takes center stage.
