Bestselling Author Bob Goff to Speak at OneGenAway’s Annual Spring Breakfast

Free Community Event Slated for May 2 at Liberty Hall in the Factory at Franklin

FRANKLIN, Tenn. (January 30, 2025) –  New York Times bestselling author Bob Goff will take center stage as the featured speaker at One Generation Away’s 2025 Spring Breakfast fundraiser. Known for his captivating storytelling and heart for service, Goff will share an inspiring message that reflects OneGenAway’s mission to fight food insecurity and serve neighbors in need.

The public is invited to the free event on Friday, May 2, 2025, at Liberty Hall in the Factory at Franklin (230 Franklin Road). The breakfast buffet begins when the doors open at 6:00 a.m., with the program starting at 7:00 a.m.

This annual fundraising event supports OneGenAway in its efforts to rescue food from grocery stores, restaurants, farmers and caterers and distribute it to neighbors experiencing food insecurity through mobile food pantries. Guests will hear from Goff as well as OneGenAway’s co-founder, Chris Whitney.

“Bob Goff embodies the heart of what we do at OneGenAway: loving and serving our neighbors without hesitation,” said Whitney. “We’re honored to have him as our featured speaker and look forward to an inspiring morning that will fuel our efforts to feed even more people in 2025.”

OneGenAway – recently recognized as the 24th largest nonprofit in Tennessee by The Business Journals – achieved record-breaking success in 2024, distributing 10.5 million pounds of food to those in need. This massive effort translated to 8.7 million meals for families across Tennessee, Alabama and Florida.

Beyond its mobile pantries, OneGenAway made a powerful impact through disaster relief efforts. Last year, the organization swiftly responded to communities devastated by natural disasters in Tennessee, North Carolina and Florida, delivering food and essential supplies to those facing unimaginable hardship.
