FirstBank Welcomes New Senior Vice President to its Commercial Team

Industry veteran Joe Walker joins community bank’s commercial group 

FRANKLIN, Tenn. (Aug. 22, 2024) – FirstBank today announced that Joe Walker has joined its Franklin office, serving as Senior Vice President. In his new role, Walker is responsible for leading commercial banking initiatives throughout Middle Tennessee.

“Joe brings a wealth of knowledge from leading multiple commercial teams, and I’m confident that through his leadership, our Franklin market will reach new heights,” said Jim Mosby, FirstBank’s Commercial Banking President.

With an impressive 40 years of industry experience, Walker joins FirstBank after a 14-year tenure at First Horizon Bank, most recently serving as Williamson County Regional President. Prior to that, Walker spent 24 years at SunTrust/Truist Bank, leading their commercial team in Franklin.

“I am fortunate to call Middle Tennessee home and have had the privilege of establishing longstanding relationships with the businesses in our community,” said Walker. “I look forward to this next chapter at FirstBank and to find new community banking solutions.”

Walker graduated from the University of Tennessee Knoxville with a BS in Business Administration. Aside from banking, Walker plays an active role in his community and is a member of several organizations including Heritage Foundation, CASA of Nashville, CASA of Tennessee, Habitat for Humanity, Leadership Franklin, Junior Achievement and Crohn’s and Colitis of Tennessee.
