Pull-Tight Players Theatre in Historic Downtown Franklin Presents Something Rotten

Pull-Tight Players Theatre at 112 2nd  Avenue South in historic downtown Franklin presents Something Rotten!. The show opens August 2nd with additional performances on the 3rd, 4th, 7th, 8th, 9th, 10th, 11th, 14th, 15th, 16th, and 17th .

This ‘very new musical’ originally premiered on Broadway in 2015. Something Rotten! Was based on a book by the same title and was written by Karey Kirkpatrick and John O’Farrell. The music and lyrics are by Wayne Kirkpatrick and Karey Kirkpatrick. Pull-Tight veteran and lifetime board member, Iain Macpherson directs the production. Set in the 1590s in London, England, this popular new musical is a real crowd pleaser. This hilarious satire follows the Bottom brothers, Nick and Nigel, who struggle to find success in the theatrical world as they complete with the wild popularity of their contemporary William Shakespeare. The musical numbers include such hits as “A Musical”, “Will Power”, “Bottom’s Gonna Be on Top”, “Hard to be the Bard”, “Right Hand Man”, and “We See the Light.”

The talented cast includes Pull-Tight regulars and newcomers. Featured in leading roles are Aaron Gray, David Domm and John Scamardella. The 15-actor cast will leave you singing and dancing. Ticket prices are $22 for adults, $20 for seniors and $18 students. The production is recommended for mature audiences.
