Wold Architects & Engineers Announces New Healthcare Practice Leader
Chris Powers to drive growth and increase visibility across state lines for expanding practice
BRENTWOOD, TN. — October 16, 2025 — Wold Architects & Engineers, a full-service planning, architecture and engineering firm specializing in education, government, healthcare and senior living, today announced that Chris Powers has joined the team as a Healthcare Practice Leader in the company’s Brentwood, Tenn., office, where he will also lead business development efforts to expand the firm’s healthcare presence across the region.
Based in Nashville, Powers brings over 30 years of architectural experience with projects spanning 20 states. With fourteen of those years spent as a healthcare owner and owner’s representative, he gained unique insight into client needs and the delivery of high-quality care environments. A registered architect in nine states, his career includes leadership roles at Baker Barrios Architects, Burns & McDonnell, HCA Healthcare and Gresham Smith.

In addition to his professional achievements, Powers is deeply engaged in his community. He is an Editorial Advisory Board Member for Healthcare Design Magazine, a 2022 graduate of Leadership Brentwood, and a 2024 Graduate of the Brentwood Citizens Fire Academy. He has served as an ACE mentor, a youth group leader at Brentwood United Methodist Church and many roles with the Boy Scouts over the past 25 years, including Committee Chair for Pack 6 and Merit Badge Counselor, High Adventure Leader, Order of the Arrow advisor and Assistant Scoutmaster for Troop 8.
