Looking for something fun for your child to do during Winter break?

There’s still time to register your kids for Winter break camps and activities at Williamson County Parks and Recreation (WCPR) facilities.

December 20 & 23: Color Wheels Camp Christmas

With school out and the holidays right around the corner, you might be looking for something to do! Make plans to attend this fun afternoon of Christmas inspired projects – we will sculpt, draw, paint, and more to create one-of-a-kind art pieces. You’ll love your creations and may even want to wrap them as gifts for your friends and family.  Projects will be different each day. Instructor: Shelley Egly. Camp will meet on Friday and Monday, December 20 and 23 from 1:00 to 4:30 p.m. at the Franklin Recreation Complex, 1120 Hillsboro Rd. For ages 6-10. December 20, 27, January 3: Acrylic Painting on Canvas: Snowman

Come paint a snowman with us! The image will already be sketched onto an 8×10 canvas, ready for your child to paint. The instructor will teach all of the brush strokes needed to complete the project. Your child will take home his/her canvas at the end of class. Makes a cute seasonal decoration or a lovely gift! Instructor: Elaine Sligh. Class will meet on Fridays, from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the Franklin Recreation Complex, 1120 Hillsboro Rd. For ages 6-13. Cost is $20 per class. **$5 supply fee payable to instructor. December 30 & 31: STEM Foundations using LEGO®

Level up your engineering skills with Play-Well TEKnologies and tens of thousands of LEGO® parts! Apply real-world concepts in physics, engineering, and architecture through engineer-designed projects such as Motorcycles, Aircraft Carriers, Conveyor Belts, and Rail Racers! Design and build as never before, and explore your craziest ideas in a supportive environment. There are no prerequisites for this course. Camp will meet on Monday and Tuesday, December 30 and 31 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Franklin Recreation Complex, 1120 Hillsboro Rd. For ages 5-10. Cost is $71.60. January 2 & 3: RoboThink: Functional Robot Workshop

RoboThink offers fun and exciting Robotics, Engineering and Coding programs where engineers, tinkers, and builders of all ages can explore the exciting world of STEM. Armed with gears, motors, and axles, students build and play with robots of all shapes, sizes, and functions. Certified instructors take students on a fun and educational journey where we cover robotics principles, problem solving, and exciting challenges. For information, visit: www.myrobothink.com. In this camp, participants will build functional robots that pick things up, robots that push objects along a line, and a robotic rubber band turret! No prior experience required. January 4: Challenge Island World Tour

Join Challenge Island, a STEAM program with 21st Century Learning skills. Pack your suitcase for Challenge Island’s World Tour! You and a tribe full of friends will engineer your way around the globe – from the Eiffel Tower to the Sydney Harbor Bridge to end the day in Africa. Each challenge will bring us to a different geographical destination and provide a special taste of the local flavor there. Don’t miss this global adventure! Camp will meet on Saturday, January 4 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Franklin Recreation Complex, 1120 Hillsboro Rd. Cost is $40. ($5 discount for siblings) For ages 5-12. Cost is $40.
