WILLIAMSON COUNTY PUBLIC LIBRARY TO OFFER VIRTUAL PROGRAMS FOR ADULTS AND CHILDREN
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, in mid-March of 2020 the Williamson County Public Library temporarily closed its doors to the public. Adhering to the current guidelines from the Center for Disease Control, the Library’s administration and Board of Trustees have determined to offer virtual programs beginning on May 4 for adults and children.
Library Programs
All Library programs will be virtual or recorded by WC-TV and Library staff to show online for public consumption without gathering in person.
Programs for Adults
Alzheimer’s Disease Education Series – Library staff will be working with the local Alzheimer’s Association to host a series of virtual educational workshops.
Story Times
The Youth Services manager, Stephanie Wycihowski, has contacted the Board of Trustees, The Library Foundation, and Friends groups to do special story times to be broadcast on WC-TV. Currently we have digital story times available at our web site https://www.wcpltn.org/410/Digital-Story-Time. The Main library and branch staff will be doing brief story times on their FB pages.
Summer Reading Program
The popular Summer Reading Program will be virtual. WC-TV will record or live stream the performers.
All program planning is subject to change as the situation dictates, and will be evaluated weekly during the month of May.
In addition, to serve the public at the Main library and Branches, Library2Go Curbside Service will be phased in beginning May 4. Check online at WCPLtn.org for Library2Go details and more.
