Williamson County Fair, Barnyard Mardi Gras opens, mayors’ roping delights crowd

Participants in the ribbon cutting for the Williamson County Fair, Barnyard Mardi Gras, showed up wearing Mardi Gras masks, hats and beads, ready to celebrate the grand opening and another fun-filled family fair.

On behalf of their companies, major sponsors of the Fair, Steve Barbarick, Tractor Supply Company president and chief marketing officer and Todd Palmer, Middle Tennessee Electric Membership Company, spoke about the importance of communities coming together to create and to support events like the fair.

“It makes for a stronger community,” Palmer said.
