Food & Beverage

Food and beverage options in Wedgewood-Houston are not few or far between. The neighborhood boasts long-time Nashville staples as well as international flavors, making it a great destination for any palate.

Aba is a modern, Mediterranean restaurant with California influence that has recently graced the streets of Wedgewood-Houston. The restaurant opened on September 15, 2025 and is a gorgeous space with an expansive patio, indoor/ outdoor bars, and a large dining room with semi-private and private options.

Cafe Babu is one of Nashville’s most recent, sought-after coffee shops. A tribute to Indian culture, the cafe serves a variety of specialty coffee—including their house signature, the “babu” cardamom latte—non-coffee beverages, wine, daily pastries, and light bites.

Dicey’s Pizza & Tavern is far and away a top-rated favorite among Nashvillians. The casual pizza joint is known, in particular, for its signature, hot-honey pizza “The Peppy Boy,” served fresh alongside a full bar-service and a fun-loving atmosphere.

Dos Santos is a casual Yucatán-inspired taqueria based in Denver, Colorado. Opened in Wedgewood-Houston in late 2024, the Mexican restaurant features staples like tacos, burritos, street corn, and brunch foods, plus a selection of delicious cocktails.

Elegy Coffee has locations across Nashville, including WeHo. The coffee shop favorite specializes in lattes, high-quality coffee, breakfast sandwiches, and signature breakfast burritos

E + Rose Wellness Company is a locally-based wellness brand and health-food cafe, specializing in plant-based superfood bowls, delicious smoothies, cold-pressed juices, and other whole-food based menu items. The cafe has locations across Nashville, Brentwood, and Atlanta.

Gabby’s Burgers & Fries is a down-home, lunch-only spot in Wedgewood-Houston, serving up grass-fed burgers, high-quality milkshakes, “not burgers” lunch items, and other classic odds and ends.

Hero Doughnuts & Buns is a relaxed, counter-service breakfast and lunch spot serving the neighborhood with hand-crafted, brioche-style doughnuts, kolaches, breakfast sandwiches, and burgers, plus coffee and shake options.

Humphrey Street Coffee is housed in a vintage neighborhood home. The wholesale coffee and cafe is a social enterprise of Harvest Hands CDC, meaning 100% of profits go into providing programs and scholarships to support high school students employed through Humphrey Street’s mentorship mission.

iggy’s Restaurant is an inventive Italian restaurant whose menu is a collaboration between local farmers, creative ingredients, new twists, and seasonal items. The restaurant specializes in hand-made pasta and craft cocktails. Note: iggy’s is an excellent place to find house made, gluten free pasta.

Il Forno brings the flavors of Naples to Nashville, serving a chef-driven menu full of authentic Italian pasta, appetizers, and Neapolitan pizzas hot in Wedgewood-Houston.

Ingrassia & Sons Italian Deli is a new addition to the neighborhood, serving old-world flavors in a space heavily influenced by the classic Italian-American delis of the Northeast, serving select grab-and-go sandwiches, market items, desserts, and more.

Mercado by Butchertown is the costal-inspired, sister restaurant of Butchertown Hall in Nashville’s Germantown neighborhood. Mercado has a menu full of ceviche, tostadas, Baja-style fish tacos, margaritas, an oyster bar, and more. Plus, Mercado has a great 4th floor rooftop, Ramone’s Oyster Bar and Citrus Club.

Momotaro is comig soon to the neighborhood as an expansion of the restaurant Momotaro Chicago, a multi-dimensional, fine-dining Japanese restaurant led by Executive Chef Gene Kato. The Nashville location is projected to open in Spring of 2026.

Pastis is a French brasseries with roots that run all the way to Manhattan. The elegant new dining spot serves a menu of decedent European cuisine, including a newly instated weekend brunch menu said to be spectacular.

The Wedge is a Nashville hidden gem. Among a selection of pizza, cocktails, and craft beer you’ll find  live music stages, including the secret speakeasy music lounge, IndieLuna.

Volta Cafe is an energy and wellness cafe in Wedgewood-Houston that’s the first of its kind. Using signature Volta serums, the cafe serves freshly crafted energy and wellness drinks infused with their signature, energy-boosting products.

Nashville’s night-life is often pigeon-holed to the neon lights of downtown Honky Tonks. However, if that isn’t the ambiance you’re looking for, Wedgewood-Houston is an ideal place for a night out with friends or your significant other.

Americano Lounge is a New York style cafe serving a selection of artisanal coffee, tea, and cocktails. The lounge regularly hosts jazz music, film nights, and more special events. The versatile space is perfect if you’re looking for a cozy place to work, indulge in good conversations, or have a nice date.

Bastion Nashville has 2 sides: a 24-seat restaurant and a casual cocktail club. The intimate restaurant is upscale and reservation-only with a tasting menu. The Big Bar is open to the public with a menu full of incredible cocktails and late-night nachos.

Diskin Cider is Music City’s first and only craft cidery, serving up a selection of famous local ciders and light food in a casual, dynamic environment. Diskin Cider is a great place to gather, with lots of indoor/outdoor seating and awesome, seasonal selections of one of Nashville’s favorite beverages.

Fait La Force Brewing is a comfortable and elegant taproom serving craft beers fit for for both the connoisseur and the novice. The local spot is also family-friendly and serves a full sandwich menu in partnership with JamBox Sandwich Shop. Each flavorful sandwich boasts a signature, local jam made by Nashville Jam Company.

Flamingo Cocktail Club is one of the top places beyond Broadway to go dancing in Nashville. The cocktail club is made distinct by its pink lighting and lively atmosphere, alongside its regularly hosted special events. Attached to Flamingo Cocktail Club is Falcon Coffee Bar, set to reopen in July of 2026.

Goodtimes Full Service Bar is a causal cocktail bar with a vintage feel. Nashville to the core, Goodtimes is the perfect local spot to find classic cocktails, local beers, Smash burgers, and their signature twice-fried wings.

Jackalope Taproom & Brewing Company is a casual spot to find locally hand-crafted beers, regular live music, sports viewing, and a dog-friendly outdoor patio in the Wedgewood-Houston neighborhood. Fun fact: Jackalope was the first Nashville craft brewery to can its beer.

Lucky’s 3 Star Bar is a casual bar and eatery with pool tables and a retro atmosphere, made complete by a wide selection of bottles and cans plus craft beers, plus hot dogs, pizza, subs, and other snacks.

Never Never merges simplicity and elegance, making your evening with boutique cocktails, delicious food, and outdoor live music. The intimate bar is tucked in the heart of the neighborhood, located inside a former welding shop.

Poised to be a top spot for luxury retail in Nashville, Wedgewood-Houston is already an incredible place to find high-quality items, from custom fashion to locally made goods.

Forks Drum Closet has been serving Nashville since 1982. The drum shop is known for its new, used, and vintage drum gear and friendly, knowledgeable service. Rentals, repairs, lessons, and tune-ups are also available at the shop.

Hermès is coming soon to the neighborhood. The luxury French brand will have a storefront in the historic masonry May Hosiery Mills building, which will be the brand’s first boutique in the state of Tennessee.

Poplar Point sells quality, handcrafted and curated lifestyle goods. Their products are made in Nashville and include durable items such as quilts, watches, jewelry, accessories, candles, books, and denim.

Savas is a leather design studio based in Nashville whose home base is Wedgewood-Houston. Known as Atelier Savas, the brand specializes in custom made, ready-to-wear leather jackets and high-quality leather goods for both men and women.

Simon Says is an innovative, high-end men’s clothier. The shop is dedicated to offering high-quality brands not typically found in Nashville, in addition to featuring goods by local artisans.

Exclusive: Bal Harbour Shops access pop-up has recently entered the Wedgewood-Houston neighborhood with an exclusive, limited time shopping opportunity. Modeled after the well-known Bal Harbour Shops of Florida—a high-fashion shopping experience that has been a Miami Beach staple since 1965—the pop-up will be open from September 12 through November 9, 2025. The customed-designed, tropical-inspired, open-air shopping center will feature several designer fashion brands and their branded restaurant, The Whiteman.

Nashville’s Arts & Design District

Wedgewood-Houston has long been considered Nashville’s arts district, a reputation now solidifying as the neighborhood becomes a point of centrality in the city’s expanding fine arts landscape. Marking this expansion, the neighborhood most recently welcomed CASS Contemporary, a gallery space and multi-faceted art company, which held its official grand opening  on September 12, 2025. The Tampa-based company will showcase revolving exhibits of contemporary works by both local and international artists, marking the Wedgewood-Houston area as an increasingly culturally relevant destination.

Wedgewood-Houston is also home to gallery Zeitgeist, a pillar in the Nashville art community since 1994. The gallery space, which moved to Wedgewood-Houston in 2013, carries with it a renowned artistic legacy. An especially welcoming gallery space, Julia Martin Gallery is owned and operated by artist and Nashville native, Julia Martin, whose gallery primarily showcases folk and contemporary art by local and regional artists. Another incredible space for creatives, Risology Club is a Risograph (a form of digital printing) studio that offers a range of design, printing, and creative services. Likewise, The Packing Plant in Wedgewood-Houston houses artist-run gallery and studio spaces, along with new art exhibits on the first Saturday of each month. The Packing Plant is also home to the Free Nashville Poetry Library, the only all-poetry library in the city.

Yet another symbol of Nashville’s rich artistic culture, the Nashville Film Festival is hosted in the Wedgewood-Houston area, and it’s impact is nothing new. Founded in 1969, the Nashville Film Festival was one of the very first of its kind in the United States. The annual event, which celebrated its 56th year September 18-24, 2025, is a celebration of storytelling and the arts. The days long experience features world-class film screenings, live Q&As, panels, workshops, and parties that connect incredible filmmakers to their audiences.

Much of the area’s retail spaces feature interior-design showrooms, making the neighborhood a perfect destination for designers or homeowners on the hunt for unique and high-quality pieces. Cococo Home is a family-owned company that sells custom-made, handcrafted furniture, with a studio in Wedgewood-Houston. Providence Interiors is an award-winning showroom offering upscale furnishings, home goods, and interior design service. Close by, Schumaker Boutique specializes in bold, carefully curated goods and interior design services. Nashville Design Collective is a premier design provider, providing both homeowners and trade professionals access to luxury furnishings and appliances.

Even if you don’t live in the area, you can immerse yourself in the vibrant art scene through the monthly Wedgewood-Houston Art Crawl, hosted the first Saturday of each month. The event is free and gives guests a peek into the neighborhood galleries. A special arts event hosted each year is the American Artisan Festival @ Artville, a 3-day festival that runs along Martin Street in Wedgewood-Houston. The annual visual arts festival has been around for over 50 years and features public art installations, various contemporary works of art, and immersive experiences that capture and celebrate Nashville’s creative culture. Artville is free to attend and was hosted this year on September 26-28.

Entertainment & Education

An area for both beauty and brawn, sports fans flock to Wedgewood-Houston’s Geodis Park, one of Music City’s sports and entertainment venue and the home field of local professional soccer team, Nashville SC. With 30,000 seats and concessions full of local food and craft beer, Geodis Park is a perfect place to catch an extraordinary game or live performance. For those looking for fun in WeHo that’s also educational, Adventure Science Center is an independent, nonprofit science and technology center located just off the highway, easily recognized by it’s light up pyramid, welcoming guests to an awesome adventure. The science center features more than 175 hands-on exhibits that focus on biology, astronomy, physics, earth science, weather, energy, sound, and space. The center is also home to the incredible, state-of-the-art Sudekum Planetarium. To dive into the history of the area, and Nashville as a whole, you can also take a quick hike up to Fort Negley, the Civil War fort that rises above Wedgewood-Houston, built by Union troops following their capture of Nashville. The fort, which is the largest inland fort built during the Civil War, also has the most incredible 360 view of the city and is open daily from dawn to dusk.
