Walk Across Williamson
Walk Across Williamson (WxW) is a joint effort between the Williamson County and Franklin Special school systems, the WC health department and the WC health council. This is an endeavor to promote a family fun and healthy activity. Participants log their activity minutes on the days they are active during the month of March. Logs are available in hard copy form. These forms can be filled out and turned in to your schools team leader.
An official kick-off event will be held on Saturday, March 1st at participating park(s) and/or venue(s) between 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. Contest details will be made available at the kick-off event as well as being posted on this web site. The participating park(s) are listed on the Information Flyer link. If unable to attend or time is missed during a month, feel free to join up and/or participate at any time. Some is always better than none and WxW is designed with that purpose in mind.
An event to celebrate the completion of Walk Across Williamson is scheduled Saturday, April 12th from 9:00-11:00 a.m. at Pinkerton Park in Franklin. The celebration will include giveaways and drawings for prizes. A participant must be in attendance to be included in the drawings for prizes.
