Tribute Bands Take the Stage in Franklin

Franklin is turning up the volume to celebrate music nostalgia. Fans of classic rock, pop, and jazz will find plenty to sing along to as top tribute bands bring the sounds of legendary artists to local stages.

August

The Franklin Theatre will feature Child’s Anthem: The Music of Toto on August 8th, performing the band’s signature rock hits, and Come Fly with Me: A Rat Pack Rendezvous on August 9th, delivering the smooth classics of Sinatra and his legendary circle. Four Lads From Liverpool recreates the Beatles experience on August 14th, followed by Classic Seger: Bob Seger’s Greatest Hits Live on August 15th with high-energy renditions of Seger favorites. Kings of Queen wraps up the month on August 30th, channeling the powerful vocals and showmanship of Freddie Mercury.

Meanwhile, the Williamson County Performing Arts Center hosts ROD The Tribute on August 2nd with Rod Stewart hits, Boys in the Band: The Alabama Tribute on August 16th celebrating country legends Alabama, Turn to Stone: A Tribute to ELO on August 23rd featuring Electric Light Orchestra’s symphonic rock, and Laurel Canyon Band on August 30th honoring the harmonies of Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young.

The Mockingbird Theater at The Factory at Franklin will also join the tribute lineup with Majestic: A Tribute to Journey on August 23rd, bringing  Journey’s greatest hits to life with classic rock style.

September

In September, the Williamson County Performing Arts Center will present The Brothers Doobie: A Tribute to The Doobie Brothers on September 6th, delivering spot-on vocals, rich harmonies, and hits from both the Johnston and McDonald eras, including “Listen to the Music” and “What a Fool Believes.” On September 26th, Take Me Home: The Music of John Denver will bring national touring performer Jim Curry to Franklin for an evening filled with the timeless songs of America’s beloved singer-songwriter.

October

In October, Face Value: A Tribute to Phil Collins takes the stage at the Williamson County Performing Arts Center on October 3rd, recreating the iconic sound of Phil Collins and Genesis with top Nashville musicians, powerful horns, and dual drummers. On October 16th, Sweet Baby James: The #1 James Taylor Tribute returns with singer-songwriter Bill Griese performing James Taylor’s classics with authentic vocals, guitar, and a down-to-earth approach that resonates with audiences.

November

In November, the Williamson County Performing Arts Center will host Lost in Paradise: A Tribute to Jimmy Buffett on November 1st. This high-energy Trop Rock band will have audiences singing along to favorites like “Margaritaville” and “Cheeseburger in Paradise,” offering a perfect escape to island vibes.

With performances spanning multiple venues and musical eras, it’s a chance for music lovers to relive favorite hits and discover new favorites in the heart of Franklin.
