The BBB releases the names of Semi-Finalists in the First Annual Williamson County Branch Torch Awards for Marketplace Ethics

 

The Advisory Board of Directors of the Williamson County Branch of the Better Business Bureau of Middle Tennessee, Inc. is pleased to announce the following businesses are Semi-Finalists in the Torch Awards for Marketplace Ethics:

These businesses were carefully selected by a panel of independent judges from the over 100 nominees received from throughout Williamson County.  The Torch Awards for Marketplace Ethics is a national BBB program that honors businesses within a service area for their exemplary ethical business practices. Nominations come from the public and all for-profit businesses can participate if they meet certain eligibility standards.

 

The presentation of the Torch Awards for each of four size categories will take place at on February 6, 2007, 7:00 PM at Liberty Hall in Franklin. John Stossel, author and co-anchor of 20-20 will be the featured speaker at this banquet.

 

The BBB is a non-profit business association dedicated to promoting ethical business practices. The BBB of Middle Tennessee was established in 1961 opening the Williamson County Branch in 2005. From the time the branch opened, the Williamson County Advisory Board and Kathleen Calligan, the CEO of the Better Business Bureau of Middle Tennessee began planning this special program.
