Dickens of a Christmas (Dec. 9-10th)
The Heritage Foundation of Williamson County’s 38th Annual Dickens of a Christmas will be held in historic downtown Franklin this Saturday and Sunday! Dickens of a Christmas is a Franklin holiday tradition that recreates the time of Charles Dickens, featuring over 200 Dickens characters, dancers, musicians, live entertainment, a KidZone, local vendors, and more with a historic backdrop. Interact with the past at Dickens of a Christmas, Middle Tennessee’s largest outdoor Christmas festival!
FrankTown Festival of Lights (Nov. 17- Dec. 31st)
Presented by FrankTown Open Hearts, you can find the annual FrankTown Festival of Lights at the Williamson County Ag Expo Center every night from 5- 9pm until December 31st. The 1.5-mile light show features over 200 displays synchronized to Christmas music in support of FrankTown Open Hearts’ mission to enhance the lives of at-risk youth through hands-on programming.
Holiday Movies at The Franklin Theatre
The Franklin Theatre will be showing some Christmas classics this weekend! Miracle on 34th Street will play this Saturday at 10am, Home Alone will play this Saturday at 9pm, and The Santa Clause will be playing this Sunday at 10am. Enjoy a nostalgic setting and fresh popcorn while watching your favorite holiday movies at The Franklin Theatre!
Flashlight Candy Cane Hunt (Dec. 7-8th)
Eastern Flank Battlefield Park will be sprinkled with candy canes this Thursday and Friday for The City of Franklin’s Annual Flashlight Candy Cane Hunt! Kids ages 2-12 are invited to dress in their best Christmas outfits, decorate their treat bags, bring a flashlight, and search for some holiday candy – hot chocolate and cookies will be provided!
Holiday Spirits Cocktail Festival (Dec. 8th)
The Holiday Spirits Cocktail Festival will be held this Friday evening in The Factory at Franklin from 6:30- 9:30pm. Celebrate the season with festive cocktails, shopping, Christmas music, visits with Santa Claus, and more! One ticket provides you with 12 sample-sized signature cocktails in support of TennGreen Land Conservancy, so check out this spirited night for a great cause!
Holiday Photo Stops (Nov. 18- Jan. 1st)
The Economic Development Advisory Committee and the Town of Nolensville will be teaming up with local businesses, organizations, churches, and subdivisions to offer the community festive photo stops throughout Nolensville! AGLOW Candlelit Dinners at Southall (Dec. 8-9th)
Southall Farm & Inn will be hosting AGLOW, a candlelit dinner party, in their Orchard Event Center this Friday at 6:30pm and Saturday at 9:30pm. The farm has entered the winter season, and so has the harvest – enjoy a multi-course meal of winter produce and the Southall culinary team’s preservation techniques this weekend!
Saturday Morning Art Club (Dec. 9th)
Chestnut Grove Studios will be hosting their Saturday Morning Art Club this Saturday at the Oasis Health Center in Spring Hill from 10am- 12pm. Explore new techniques and tools at this fun, monthly workshop – December’s project will consist of using acrylics to paint on a wooden panel! Supplies, instruction, and community are included, so stop by this Saturday Morning Art Club in Spring Hill!
Santa & Carolers at The Factory at Franklin (Dec. 9th)
Carolers from local schools will gather in The Factory at Franklin this Saturday from 10am- 3:30pm to serenade the community with holiday classics! Santa will also be visiting, so you can meet him in his huge rocking chair next to the giant Christmas tree in The Factory at Franklin’s Grand Hall. Get into the holiday spirit and enjoy a festive afternoon in The Factory at Franklin!
Leiper’s Fork Christmas Parade (Dec. 9th)
The Leiper’s Fork “Almost World Famous” Christmas Parade will be held this Saturday afternoon at 2pm. The 2023 Grand Marshals are Wynonna Judd and Cactus Moser! The main road through the village will be closed down for this free holiday event, so arrive early, bring a lawn chair, and enjoy a festive afternoon in Leiper’s Fork!
VIP Leiper’s Fork Christmas Parade Experience at Wines in the Fork (Dec. 9th)
Wines in the Fork invites you to enjoy a VIP Experience at the Leiper’s Fork Christmas Parade this Saturday! This experience includes transportation on the Franklin Hop Trolley, a reserved parade seat in front of Wines in the Fork, 2 glasses of wine, cider, or hot mulled wine, and 2 cups of hot soup, a baggett, and a peppermint brownie! Leave your car at the Franklin Visitors Center in downtown Franklin and hop on the trolley at 12:30pm to head to the Leiper’s Fork Christmas Parade – you will head back at 4pm!
Santa’s Coming Cookie Class (Dec. 9th)
Sugar Drop Cafe & Dessert Boutique in Franklin will be hosting a Basic Beginners Cookie Class this Saturday morning at 9am, where students are invited to work on a set of Santa-inspired cookies! McLemore House Museum’s Annual Christmas Open House (Dec. 9th)
The McLemore House Museum will be hosting their Annual Christmas Open House this Saturday afternoon from 10am- 1pm. Hosted by the African American Heritage Society of Williamson County, this event features a live re-enactment of Harvey McLemore and his granddaughter, Maggie, from 10am- 12pm, and self-guided tours from 12- 1pm!
