Youth Vocal Competition (April 30th)
The Ray of Light Foundation’s Shine Your Light Youth Vocal Competition will take place at the Williamson County Performing Arts Center at Academy Park from 6 pm- 8:30 pm. Franklin native Raymond Cruz fought bone cancer from 2017-2019 and during his stay at the Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital, he spread hope through his music. Now, the Shine Your Light Youth Vocal Competition keeps his memory alive, with proceeds going toward the Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital. Come out for an evening of music and community!
Magical Unicorn Meet n’ Greet (April 29th)
Lucky Ladd Farms invites you to visit their farm and enjoy all the activities they have to offer while unicorns make meet n’ greet appearances from 10 am- 4 pm!
April Chef Dinner Series (April 25th)
In Amerigo’s April Chef Dinner Series, Chef Steven Robilio will offer a 5-course meal featuring seasonal ingredients to highlight the tastes of Spring on April 25th. Complete with wine/cocktail pairings, Chef Robilio will explain how and why he created each dish so that you can further appreciate the flavors of April!
Jazz Creekside (April 29th)
Wines in the Fork will be hosting Jazz Creekside from 1 pm- 5 pm. Join them as they celebrate Jazz Appreciation Month with wine and live jazz music featuring The Reggie Murray Band and Stephanie Adlington Duo!
Neighbor Serving Neighbor Benefit Dinner & Auction (April 27th)
GraceWorks’ Annal Neighbor Serving Neighbor Benefit Dinner & Auction will be held in downtown Franklin at The Factory at Franklin from 6 pm- 9 pm. GraceWorks is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing food, shelter, and support to Williamson County residents in need. This annual event shines a light on what GraceWorks does within our community and invites guests to support their efforts!
Farmers Markets
These local farmers markets prove the importance of contributing to your community and provide the perfect opportunity to support your local farmers, kitchens, and artisans!
- You can find The Franklin Farmers Market every Saturday morning behind The Factory at Franklin with numerous vendors offering fresh produce, baked goods, handcrafted items, and local art.
- The Nolensville Winter Farmers Market will be taking place every Saturday from 10 am-1 pm at the Mill Creek Church of Christ. Local farmers and artisans will offer fresh, seasonal foods and unique crafts!
Knee High Naturalist (April 26th)
Children ages 3-5 are invited to explore nature with the Knee High Naturalist series! Led by an Owl’s Hill Environmental Educator, children will learn about a different topic each week with emphasis on teamwork, creativity, and exploration! The Spring sessions will take place every Wednesday from 10 am- 11:30 am until April 26th, so make sure to register your child soon!
Patricia Hart Society’s Spring Fundraiser (April 26th)
The Patricia Hart Society’s Spring Fundraiser will take place at The History & Culture Center of Williamson County from 5:30 pm- 7:30 pm. Featuring cocktails, refreshments, and a silent auction benefiting United Way of Greater Nashville, this event will support literacy in our community as well as The Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee’s Caring for Covenant Fund. Stop by and listen to speaker Jennifer Hillen while giving back to the community!
Shakespeare Education Experience (April 27-28)
Presented by The Nashville Shakespeare Festival, Shakespeare Education Experience will be held at Williamson County Parks & Recreation this weekend! Macbeth and A Midsummer Night’s Dream will be performed on Thursday at 7 pm, while Romeo & Juliet and A Midsummer Night’s Dream will be performed on Friday at 8:30 pm. Much like Shakespeare’s original productions, five actors will be playing multiple roles with minimal sets and props. Whether you are a Shakespeare-fanatic or have only heard of Romeo & Juliet, these performances are sure to entertain!
Franklin Theatre Songwriters Series (April 27th)
The Franklin Theatre presents their Inaugural Songwriter Series with Tim Nichols, Jimmy Yeary, Matt Wynn, and Autumn McEntire on April 27th! Make sure to stop by this event filled with impressive performances!
Night for Newborns (April 28th)
Nurses for Newborns will be hosting Night for Newborns at The Factory at Franklin on April 28th! This event includes dinner, live music, impactful stories, and an auction! 100% of funds will benefit Nurses for Newborns’ goal to support babies and families in the Middle Tennessee area.
Telescope Night (April 28th)
The Vanderbilt Dyer Observatory in Brentwood will have a Live Telescope Night on April 28th for guests to view their exhibits, speak with astronomers, and use telescopes to look for various celestial objects in the Spring sky!
Creative Writing Workshop (April 29th)
Owl’s Hill Nature Sanctuary in Brentwood will be hosting a Creative Writing Workshop from 9:30 am- 12 pm. If you enjoy nature and creative writing, you will love this workshop where participants are invited to write in response to three prompts, surrounded by the nature of Owl’s Hill.
Voices for Children (April 27th)
Williamson County Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) 12th Annual Voices for Children will take place at The Barn at Sycamore Farms from 6 pm- 9 pm. This event supports CASA’s mission to advocate for Williamson County’s abused and neglected children. Featuring dinner, cocktails, and live and silent auctions, this is an event you won’t want to miss.
Arbor Day Celebration (April 29th)
Celebrate Arbor Day with The City of Franklin Parks on April 29th at Pinkerton Park. This event will feature kids activities, a photo booth, free tree saplings, and more!
Kindness to the Earth (April 29th)
Caregivers and children ages preschool through 3rd grade are invited to celebrate Arbor Day in Franklin at the Williamson County Public Library on April 29th. From 3 pm- 4 pm, Moozie and Friends from the Children’s Kindness Network will be teaching ways that you can be kind to the earth through engaging stories and activities!
