The Williamson County Performing Arts Center and The Nashville Shakespeare Festival to present 8th annual Shakespeare At Academy Park weekend
The Williamson County Performing Arts Center (WCPAC) at Academy Park and the Williamson County Parks and Recreation Department (WCPR) are excited to host the eighth annual Franklin weekend of Summer Shakespeare at Academy Park, presented by the Nashville Shakespeare Festival!
If all the world’s a stage, join the band in As You Like It, one of Shakespeare’s most joyful romantic comedies. Experience a group of musicians, poets, and other colorful characters as they compose the world they want to live in, discover hidden truths, build an unlikely community, and create a brand new sound along the way.
From Thursday, September 26, 2024 through Sunday, September 29, 2024 the Nashville Shakespeare Festival will present William Shakespeare’s As You Like It on the Academy Park field at 112 Everbright Avenue in Franklin. Performances of As You Like It begin nightly at 7:00 p.m. Gates open at 5:15 p.m., with an educational lecture series starting at 5:30 p.m. and pre-show entertainment starting at 6:00 p.m. featuring The Corgis (September 26), Stray Arcade (September 27), Justyna Kelly (September 28) and All Poets & Heroes (September 29). A varying selection of food trucks will be selling a variety of dining options on site before and during each performance; visit https://www.nashvilleshakes.org/food-truck-schedule for the full food truck schedule.
