The Hank Legacy
Studio Tenn’s fourth season gets rolling with a never before seen, world premiere tribute to the legendary Hank Williams at the Franklin Theatre, mere miles from the Leipers Fork farm the late great Williams once called home. An homage to the company’s Music City roots, Studio Tenn’s “The Hank Legacy: The Songs of Hank Williams” will feature a group of astonishing artists giving their spin on the very best of the legendary singer-songwriter’s catalog. Featuring more than 20 hits from Hank’s heydey, including “Your Cheatin’ Heart,” “Hey, Good Lookin’” and “I’m So Lonesome I Could Cry”, this must-see musical revue staged in a style similar to last season’s smash hit “Smokey Joe’s Café” echoes its hero’s own untimely ending—closing two days before Hank’s 90th birthday.
