Taste of Cool Springs
The fifth annual Taste of Cool Springs, presented by the Brentwood Cool Springs Chamber of Commerce to benefit United Way of Williamson County and its 39 partner agencies, is Sunday, March 4, 2007, from 7 to 9 p.m. The annual event is held at the Cool Springs Galleria in Franklin.
The food extravaganza will feature the area’s best restaurants, caterers, country clubs and hotels offering samples of their favorite creations. Attendees will sample specialty food, meet chefs, sip wine and enjoy entertainment from Shuff’s Music as they wander from station to station. Recognition will be awarded to restaurants for “Best Display” and “Best Taste”, based on votes from those attending. In 2006, “Best Taste” was awarded to Bonefish Grill and “Best Display” was awarded to Joe’s Crab Shack.
Tickets for the event are $30 in advance, ($35 at the door) and are available from United Way agencies, customer service at CoolSprings Galleria, Brentwood Cool Springs Chamber of Commerce and United Way of Williamson County. A portion ($15) of each ticket price is a tax-deductible donation to United Way of Williamson County. Discount group ticket sales also are available through the United Way office.
In 2006, more than 1200 people attended the event. In the past four years, the event has raised $73,755 for United Way and its agency partners, thus providing services and supporting programs that improve the lives of individuals and families who live in Williamson County.
Taste of Cool Springs sponsors, to date, include CoolSprings Galleria, Coca-Cola, Vanderbilt Williamson Medical Center and SunTrust bank. Companies providing in-kind donations include Art Growden Creative, Critical Impressions, and Sys-Logic LLC.
