Seniors Travel to Cannonsburgh Village

Williamson County Parks and Recreation invites seniors (ages 55 & older) to enjoy a day trip to Cannonsburgh Village in Murfreesboro, Tennessee on Friday, September 26th.

Located in downtown Murfreesboro, Cannonsburgh Village is a collection of historic buildings that pay tribute to Milos Cannon, one of the city’s prominent early settlers. Within the village is a grist mill, doctor’s office, wedding chapel, Leeman House, a general store and blacksmith’s shop.

After the Cannonsburgh tour, participants will enjoy a Dutch treat lunch at Demo’s Steak and Spaghetti House in Murfreesboro.

Check-in time at the Longview Recreation Center, 2909 Commonwealth Drive in Spring Hill will be 8:00am on September 26th. Guests will travel via motor coach to Cannonsburgh Village.  The bus will return to Longview by 3:00pm.
