Seniors to See Frank Lloyd Wright House

The Williamson County Parks and Recreation Department’s Senior Division invites you to a day trip to Rosenbaum House in Florence, Alabama, on Thursday, October 16th.  Designed by Frank Lloyd Wright, the Rosenbaum House is an American architectural treasure, built for newlyweds Stanley and Mildred Rosenbaum in 1939. A genuine work of art, from the floor to the furnishings, Rosenbaum house is one of the purest examples of Usonian design with open floor plans and rooms that naturally flow from one to another. Blending with its surroundings, the house cascades down a two-acre lot facing the Tennessee River.
 
The cost is $15 per person. Check-in time the day of the trip begins at 8:30am with an estimated return time of 4:30pm. All transportation is provided by motor coach and will leave from the Franklin Recreation Complex located at 1120 Hillsboro Rd., Franklin. The first stop is lunch at Cracker Barrel (Dutch treat) followed by the home tour.
 
To register, call 790-5719, ext. 10 beginning at 9:00 a.m. on or after the first registration date. You must speak with a receptionist in order to make a reservation. You may also register in person. Williamson County residents may register between September 19th and October 10th. Non-residents are welcome to register between September 24th and October 10th.
 
 
 
Reservations must be paid within 5 days of registration in order to be held. Payment may be received by mail, over the phone or in person (credit card purchases must be over $20.00 and will include a small processing fee) and are non-refundable after the final registration date; unless, the seat is filled from the waiting list. Participants may register up to 1 additional person for each trip.
