Seniors to See

The Williamson County Parks and Recreation Department invites seniors (ages 55 & older) to enjoy a day trip to see a production of “Barefoot in the Park” at Chaffin’s Barn Dinner Theatre, on Thursday, February 19th.

“Barefoot in the Park” is a classic romantic comedy, and tells the story of conservative young lawyer Paul Bratter and his free-spirited newlywed bride Corie. Enjoy all the laughs as they move into a tiny fifth-floor walkup in a New York City apartment building full of eccentric characters.

Pre-registration opens at 9:00 a.m. on January 30th and closes February 13th or when the trip is full. The cost is $28 per person and space is limited. The group will leave from the Franklin Recreation Complex, 1120 Hillsboro Road at 10:15 a.m. on February 19th and return at 3:00 p.m. Travel will be by comfortable motorcoach and the cost includes the all transportation and coffee and soft drinks. Bring a sack lunch; gratuities are Dutch Treat.

Registration for the trip may be made in person or by speaking with the receptionist at (615)790-5719, ext. 10 (credit card purchases must be over $20 and will include a small processing fee). No messages allowed. To hold a reservation, payment must be received within 5 days of the initial registration. Payments may be mailed or made in person at the Franklin Recreation Complex, 1120 Hillsboro Road, Franklin, TN, 37064.  Payment may be received by mail, over the phone or in person and is non-refundable after the final registration date unless the seat is filled from the waiting list. Participants may register up to 1 additional person for each trip.
